SHIMLA: Amid the recent surge coronavirus cases and related deaths, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to postpone the ongoing examinations of state board for class 10th and 12th and under graduate university examinations.

Jai Ram Thakur also indicated that the state government can impose some more restrictions in the coming days.
A senior government official said that situation would be reviewed on May 1 and further directions would be issued accordingly.
The under graduate examinations were scheduled to start from April 17.
While interacting with media persons at Shimla on Wednesday, The CM said that the government has so far asked the people coming from
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to bring along negative RT-PCR test report but now the situation is deteriorating in other states of the country as well.
The CM requested the people of the state and those coming from outside to take precautions and cooperate with the authorities.
The CM said that people coming from high-load states are not being stopped anywhere, instead hoteliers have been asked to check their RT-PCR reports.
The CM also said that the priority of the government is to first administer the vaccine to the people of Himachal Pradesh. He said that in view of the increasing cases, the government is arranging extra beds in different areas of the state.
