Warangal: There are apparently different tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, or Babasaheb Ambedkar, brought by different organizations, people’s representatives and officials in different places in the former Warangal district, with a view to Ambedkar’s 130th birthday.
Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who decorated the statue of Ambedkar at the Ambedkar junction in Hanamkonda, said the state government led by Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was walking the path shown by Ambedkar by striving for the removal of Dalits, tribesmen, and other backward classes to bring about an egalitarian society in the State.
“Ambedkar was a multifaceted genius who obtained many degrees from foreign universities who worked for the upliftment of Dalits and other oppressed communities throughout his life and dreamed of a society with equality by working to destroy the caste system in Indian society. ” he said, adding that the TRS government has worked for the development of the oppressed classes by providing them with quality education.
“We even offer scholarships to the Dalits to study on board,” he added. Public representatives, District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, and others also paid tribute to the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution and praised him for his contribution as the Minister of the Union after independence.
