Babulal demands govt to declare 'Health Emergency' in Jharkhand

Deoghar, Apr 13 (UNI) Leader of legislature wing of BJP and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has demanded the state government to declare a medical emergency in Jharkhand due to the alarming situation of Coronavirus.
Addressing a press conference here he said that the entire government is sleeping in Madhupur while people continue to die for the want of beds, oxygen and ventilators across the state.
Marandi alleged that the government is not all serious to tackle the
pandemic as even in the previous year he had given numerous suggestions to the state government inside the assembly and also outside but no action is taken. He said that the situation in Ranchi was horrific as even critical patients were not getting beds. He said that he himself tried to get a bed in the capital for a critical patient from Dumka but had failed.
Marandi said that while on one hand, RIMS and Sadar Hospital are claiming that they have empty beds on the other critical patients outside these hospitals are not being provided admissions over non-availability of beds.
He suggested the state government use high schools at block levels and colleges and other buildings as Covid centres. Further, he said that all the protection gear which is required for the frontline warriors should be purchased by the government. He said that CM should at least visit the hospitals in the capital and have a look at the facilities.
