The director is facing legal tussles with the production company LYCA as he never wrapped up the shooting of 'Indian 2' and he moved to his next project with Ram Charan in Tollywood.

The court has ordered director shankar to provide a valid explanation before april 16th. So far he has given a muted response and never reacted to the court verdict. In this case, Bollywood's most happening couple ranveer singh and deepika padukone have approached him for the crazy remake of 'Anniyan' movie which released way back in 2005. director shankar himself revealed that he wished to do the remake again and he was expecting the right channel to happen.

Now, a leading bollywood production house has also stepped up to fund this project. However, director shankar who is chained in legal troubles can not afford to fall into more trouble by signing yet another movie before wrapping up the proceedings of 'Indian 2'. There are also reports that ranveer singh met director shankar and discussed the possibilities of him starring in this crazy remake project.
