The same people who are so sympathetic to homeless people, poor people, gay people, minorities, animals, earth and Mother Nature, etc etc (and that’s no knock to them, it’s admirable even though I may disagree with their approach on politics revolving those things)...they’re okay with killing babies.
I just can’t comprehend it. If you brought over an alien and showed them a group of people that were so passionate about the lives of humans they don’t know, and you asked the alien what they thought that group felt about babies in wombs they’d think they deeply care about their life. But they don’t.
Interesting to me.

don't think they are "okay with killing babies", they just don't consider the thing they are killing a baby yet. you may not agree with whatever point they arbitrarily declare a bunch of cells an actual baby, but you're never going to have an interesting conversation that begins with you accusing somebody of supporting infanticide.

We don't like abortion, nobody LIKES abortion. People aren't pro-abortion, they are anti-unwanted pregnancy
But the "pro-life" crowd is also anti-birth control, anti-sex education, anti-healthcare, anti-literally fukkin anything that would make life easier for the average struggling citizen. So when faced with the often financial crushing life altering prospect of having an unplanned child the abortion is the better alternative.
Y'all hate on poor people with multiple kids who have to be on welfare to make ends meet, but you want to be "pro-life". If you want to be pro life invest in a society that supports a high standard of living.I don't know either lol

It's the hilarious contradiction of the pro-life crowd: all fetus' matter, yet we won't raise your unwanted child that we want to force you to have. Also, reduce the funding for social programs designed to assist parents in these low-income groups.
The religious connotation involved in pro-choice, I believe, is not as prominent as it used to be. There is a larger push (again, imo) for sex education and birth control from the right.
I'm pro-choice for a variety of reasons, but not pro abortion. It's really simple.Currently: traveling + MA Forensic Psych

I think pro-choice people will die out eventually. Just think about it, they are on a suicide mission. On average, pro-choice people have way less kids than pro-life people.

Liberals are not having enough babies to keep up with conservatives. Arthur Brooks, a social scientist at Syracuse University, was the first to point this out all the way back in 2006 when he went on ABC News and blew blue staters minds. “The political Right is having a lot more kids than the political Left,” he explained. “The gap is actually 41 percent.” Data on the U.S. birth rate from the General Social Survey confirms this trend—a random sample of 100 conservative adults will raise 208 children, while 100 liberal adults will raise a mere 147 kids. That’s a massive gap."For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

I'm trying to think back at what we learned in sex education.. maybe junior or senior year. At 37 years old sometimes it's difficult to remember those younger years
I believe we did speak about birth control, but the main push was for abstinence. Granted, I went to school in a conservative area of CA, so idk if that had anything to do with our school policy.
I view abstinence-only programs in the same light as alcohol and drug discussion (lack thereof). Pretending something doesn't exist, or worse demonizing it, sets children up for failure. You know it's going to happen (sex, drugs, booze), and not arming your children with information and an open forum to discuss such topics without fear of judgment and retribution only worsens things. This country is so backwards it pains me.Currently: traveling + MA Forensic Psych
