The Conbit subsidiary of Mammoet has opened an Asia Pacific hub in Malaysia.

The new operation shared with Mammoet is located in Johor Bahru - just across the straits from Singapore - and is aimed at stepping up the regional marketing of its services involved with modification and maintenance of offshore and onshore modules. The services include: flare tip replacements, flare stack and guy wire maintenance, offshore rigging and lifting engineering and operations, platform deck extensions landing replacements, installation and change out of process equipment, platform crane overhaul, decommissioning rigging and lifting.

The additional local resources will be shared between Conbit and other Mammoet operations and teams within the region. The general manager of Conbit Asia Pacific will be Jelmar de Vries.

We look forward to providing customers with more comprehensive solutions now that we have Conbit and its expertise onboard with us. This is a great addition to Mammoet’s portfolio.”

Conbit general manager, Dave Montforts, added: “While our main goal is to ensure that our existing clients get the timely service and support, they need, we also wish to extend a warm welcome to all companies in the region seeking support for specialist lifting and rigging services.”
