Axel Springer to launch Bild TV channel

German publishing house Axel Springer plans to launch Bild TV before the general election in September. The core part of the content line-up will be a live program starting in the morning and lasting up to six hours a day. Bild TV will show documentaries, news reports and other formats, with a focus on politics, sport and crime, among other topics.
