AP reports 4,228 new nCoV cases, 10 more die

Vijayawada, Apr 13 (UNI) There is no let-up in the spike of positive cases of Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh as a whopping 4,228 new cases were diagnosed while 10 more patients died in a period of 24 hours.

A health bulletin here on Tuesday said that 35,582 swab samples were diagnosed in a period of 24 hours ending at 0900 hrs today, of which 4,228 were tested positive for Coronavirus while 10 more patients died. The pandemic has claimed 7,321 lives so far in the state.

Highest number of fresh cases 842 was reported in Chittoor district, 622 in Guntur district, 538 in East Godavari district and 414 in Visakhapatnam district.

The total number of positive cases has gone up to 9,32,892, of which 8,99,721 have been discharged as they recovered. There are 25,850 active cases in the state at present. So far, 1,54,98,728 swab samples have been tested in the state.
