
Streams of DMX's music skyrocketed after the rapper's death on Friday 9 April, going up by 928% in the United States, according to information from MRC Data, Billboard reports.
DMX's tracks garnered a collective 75.7 million on-demand streams (that's audio and video combined) on 9 and 10 April, compared to the 7.36 million it brought in on 7 and 8 April, showing a boost of 928%.
According to the data, the rapper's top five most-streamed songs were Ruff Ryders Anthem (up 973%), X Gon' Give It To Ya (up 900%), Slippin' (up 853%), Party Up (In Here) (up 941%), and How It's Goin' Down (up 691%).
In the week leading up to the star's death, his streams reportedly increased to around three to four million a day. Prior to DMX's hospitalisation, streams were between 700 000 and one million per day.
