Passengers were stunned after two people tested Covid-19 positive in two separate flights that arrived from Bangalore and Hyderabad at Jaipur Airport on Monday, so far 28 flights for Mumbai and 7 flights to Ahmedabad have been cancelled.
Passengers were stunned after two people tested Covid-19 positive in two separate flights that arrived from Bangalore and Hyderabad at Jaipur Airport on Monday.
After finding out that the passengers were positive, the airlines and airport administration appealed to all passengers to home isolate. Also, both the passengers who came positive were taken to Covid Dedicated RUHS Hospital in an ambulance.
Sources connected with the airport said that a passenger reached Jaipur despite being Covid-19 positive from Bangalore by Air India Flight AI-523 today, which was discovered during the investigation by the medical team. After which the medical team sent the passenger to Covid Dedicated RUHS Hospital. The other passenger arrived on Air Asia flight I5-1576 from Hyderabad, a passenger report was seen, he was immediately isolated and was sent from ambulance to Covid Dedicated RUHS Hospital due to Corona positive report.
After this, the airlines and the airport administration appealed to passengers of both flights to be home isolated. It is being told that about 125 passengers had come to Jaipur on both these flights.
3 flights from Mumbai, Ahmedabad cancelled
Airlines are facing low passenger turnout due to the Covid-19 spread that is resulting in flights often getting cancelled. Go Air`s Mumbai flight G8-389 and IndiGo flight 6E-5343 to Mumbai were cancelled. Go Air`s Ahmedabad flight G8-701 also had to be cancelled due to a lack of passengers. Significantly, so far 28 flights for Mumbai and 7 flights to Ahmedabad have been cancelled.
