SRH vs RCB in IPL 2021 – RCB Playing XI: Royal Challengers Bangalore opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal is all set to return to RCB playing XI when Virat Kohli and Co take on David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). “He is perfectly fine and will be available for selection,” a source close to the development told InsideSport. The Karnataka batsman had also said that he is feeling and fine and is excited to be back.
“Right now I am completely fine, most importantly I am able to move around well, I am able to react to balls and that’s the most important part…in IPL you always have to be ready, you always have to be 100 per cent in every situation. Unless you are 100 per cent, you can’t really push yourself,” he said in a video posted on RCB’s Twitter handle. But if Padikkal comes in who goes out?
RCB Playing XI vs SRH in IPL 2021: Who will Virat Kohli rest to play Padikkal?
Kohli has a task cut out ahead of the second game. Royal Challengers had made some surprising changes to their batting order in their opening game against Mumbai Indians. In Padikkal’s absence, Washington Sundar was paired up with Kohli as their second opener. However, the move backfired as the bowling all-rounder was dismissed cheaply for 10 runs.
Furthermore, they picked 26-year-old Shahbaz Ahmed ahead of Navdeep Saini and was promoted to No.6. However, this move also failed as the 26-year-old walked back to the pavilion for just 1.
While Sundar is RCB’s mainstay in the spin department, it is Ahmed who will get benched.
