Thought this might be an interesting AMA for people here. About two years ago I decided I needed a side gig and I'd always been a writer back in the day. Getting into erotica is easier than most people think, but making decent money at it isn't.
I've published over 50 short novellas (think as short as 40 pages and as long as 100+) across various sites. Had three #1 sellers in my categories and wrote over a million words last year. Originally I got into it hoping to make coffee money, and now it pays my rent. About a year ago I got into writing commissions (so requested stuff) where people send me their fantasies and I write the story for them. Sometimes VERY twisted and weird stuff. Recently I've also gotten into editing.
Hoping that by the time I'm 50 (I'm 46 now) I can quit my day job and work at this full time. Working on my first full novel (crime thriller) and also writing a children's book with my seven year old daughter I'm hoping to publish for her birthday this year.

Mirin bro.
- What are some of the weirdest requests you've gotten?
- Do you refuse requests that are too fkd up or do you just up the price?
- How much are people willing to pay for custom stories and how long are the stories? Do they get refunds if they don't like what you've written or ask you to make amendments?
- Have you considered setting up your own platform e.g. On Patreon where you can potentially have a guaranteed source of income over an extended period?
- What's your writing routine - hours / words per day?Ella era la mejor, hombre.

It's increased steadily. My first goal was $100 a month. Then my car payment of $450 a month. My goal for end of this year is to be making 2k a month and it's part time.
Here's a fisting tidbit I wrote just this morning:
"Stretching one more time Ellie gasped and looked down and then she could clearly see that Greta had her entire hand inside her *****. It was impossible to imagine it fitting, but there it was. And the sensation of stretch was making her whole body almost convulse with pleasure. She wasn’t even moving it, just slowly penetrating inch by delicious inch."
Lots of them.

Worst request ever (and the only one I've ever reported) was a guy who wanted me to write a story about killing a woman and having sex with her corpse. But not just sex traditionally, he wanted me to write about him having sex with the gaping hole he'd carved into her. And the woman just happened to be his wife's best friend. He sent me pictures and everything. It was super disturbing that he was having such sick fantasies about a woman he actually knew.
I refuse requests about kids, animals and anything like the above. The amount of guys who try to justify writing about fourteen year olds because it's legal in their country is amazing.
I charge about 2 cents a word - so a 10k word story makes me $200. That takes me about 7-10 hours to write, so about $25 an hour. And I always include a revision.
Thinking about Patreon - mostly for my novel because it's a slog to write and chapter by chapter might be easier.
I shoot for at least 3k words a day and usually get closer to five. I write in the morning mostly right after I get up because it's when I'm most productive. My day job usually kicks in around 10 so I spend a couple of hours banging out words. Editing I'll do in front of the TV at night. Probably spend about 2-3 hours a day total.

You must love to write. You ALWAYS had a passion for creative writing (in school, for instance) or is it more of "lukewarm" hobby?
I was always good at creative writing (mainly short stories, myself) but I don't have the passion to write. It sucks when you're born with a talent you don't have interest in!!Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.
Let's show RESPECT for the POLICE and ALL FIRST RESPONDERS by helping to keep THEM SAFE AND SOUND, and thereby able to PROTECT US!

Do you do personal requests that only that person receives on commission? So could you copy paste stories but changing minor details saving tons of writing time and making money for basically the same story repeatedly?
And on the 350th day, God created the Misc
He who fights with miscers might take care lest he thereby become a miscer.
