    Gold futures inch up near Rs 46,450 per 10 grams

    NEW DELHI: Gold prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 39 to Rs 46,458 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

    On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 39, or 0.08 per cent, at Rs 46,458 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 11,471 lots.

    Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.

    Globally, gold prices traded 0.48 per cent lower at USD 1,724.30 per ounce in New York.
