Virtual SC hearings as 45% of staff test +ve

A surge in Covid-19 cases among Supreme Court employees forced judges to suspend hearing of cases from courtrooms and retreat into their residences from where they conducted virtual hearing of cases on Monday.
More than 45% of 97 employees, who took the RT-PCR test on Saturday, were reported positive for the virus, SC sources said. This set off alarm bells and it was decided to suspend physical presence of judges courtrooms.
