Chaitra Navratri 2021 Day 1, Maa Shailputri Puja Vidhi: Chaitra Navratri is without doubt one of the most vital festivals celebrated by the Hindu group. During this nine-day-long auspicious interval, devotees observe quick and sing bhajans to invoke Goddess Durga and her 9 varieties or avatars. Also referred to as Vasanta Navratri, throughout this era, devotees worship the 9 varieties on a day-wise foundation — one Goddess Durga for every day for 9 days.
Day 1 of the Navratras is devoted to Maa Shailputri, who’s often known as ‘Hemavati’. According to Indian mythology, she was the daughter of the Himalayas and her title is derived from two phrases: ‘shail’ which means ‘mountains’ and ‘putri’ which means ‘daughter’.
According to Drikpanchang, devotees should chant the next mantra to pay respects to Maa Shailputri:
ॐ देवी शैलपुत्र्यै नमः॥
Om Devi Shailaputryai Namah॥
For the primary day of Navratri on April 13, ghatasthapana muhurat, as per Drikpanchang, is from 05.58 am to 10.14 am. Ghatasthapana muhurat falls on the pratipada tithi which begins from 08.00 am on April 12, 2021 and ends at 10.16 am on April 13, 2021.
