Premeditated action is sort of the definition of our higher order thinking, it is what makes us human. On the other hand, to act without reason, or to pursue something without consciously deciding why, is also our prerogative. I was in a tough place recently, and was feeling the weight of my decisions, and trying to rationalize my way out - but I couldn't do it. Once it struck me that anyone is capable of doing anything without needing to justify their actions.. what a weight off my shoulders.
Does this resonate with anyone?
Does anyone actively do irrational things? What are they?

That's tough man. But at least it's just money.
If it makes you feel better, I once worked real hard at this temp job for like 6 months, saved up a solid chunk of cash, and then bought myself a nice 4x4 to go fck off in (~$8kusd). Me and a buddy drove 1000 miles into the desert when it bit the dust. Paid $1500 for a tow to the nearest town (200 miles away) just so I could sell it to the shop owner for $200 (since it was blown). I owned it for almost a week and destroyed half my savings.
