Google is supposedly working on its first-ever smartwatch, which it might end up calling Pixel Watch. We heard some speculations around the same in the past as well but there have never been any frequent talks on it. Well, a new leak has surfaced that stirs those past rumors up.
Once again, the leakster Jon Prosser has come up with an interesting scoop. The tipster managed to obtain the images from a source and created 3D renderings with the help of designer @RendersbyIan.
The source concealed many key aspects of Google’s first-ever smartwatch but did share the codename and images of the watch face.
According to the source, the alleged smartwatch from Google is internally codenamed “Rohan.” The source didn’t confirm the name of the watch but the tipster claims it to be Pixel Watch.
It must be noted that the source shared only the look of the watch, but the tipster and the designer recreated the full look of the watch by imagining it in different band colors and other accents. According to the renders made out of the images provided by a source, the alleged Pixel Watch is circular in shape and has a bezel-less design.
The source claims the watch is going to be available with 20 different band options. The source didn’t reveal anything about the bands but the tipster in collaboration with the designer imagined it in different colors and even design. For instance, one of the renders shows the band with ridges and featuring a different locking system.
The images provided by the source also include marketing promo lines like “Your world at a glance;” “Your route at a glance;” “Your agenda at a glance;” “Your health at a glance.”
It is currently unknown when the Pixel Watch will launch, but the tipster claims it to be sometime in October, while he still believes that Google might just push the launch date even further. It is worth mentioning that the tipster has a mixed track record of revealing stuff around upcoming devices. So, let's just take all the details with a pinch of salt.
