BENGALURU: Three people, including a BBA student, have been arrested on charges of drug peddling.
KG Halli police recovered heroin and ecstasy pills worth Rs 60 lakh from them.
Police said the gang smuggled the narcotics from Myanmar.
Hidden in mixer and grinder boxes, the drugs were received at the Manipur border.
Later, the accused transported them to Bengaluru, concealing them in soap boxes, which bore code words in Manipuri.
The accused are Mohd Sajid Khan, 27, of Chikka Banaswadi, Mohd Ajaj, 27, of Kammanahalli and Sapam Sital Kumar Singh, 25, of Hennur Cross. All three are from Manipur.
Police said Khan and Ajaj worked at a chicken shop in Shivajinagar, while Singh is a second-year BBA student at a private college in Bengaluru.
Police were tipped off that three persons had come to the HBR Layout BDA complex to sell drugs on Saturday evening. They were nabbed.
