Hyderabad: In an attempt to gain a foothold in an unequal political struggle, workers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karimnagar were allegedly found to employ a school-going student to make insulting remarks against Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and to place the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). ) -oriented government.
Karimnagar police have found a class 7 student involved in posting false and abusive content against the minister on social media commissioned by BJP, Telangana Today report. The boy operated nine email addresses, 33 Instagram accounts and 15 Facebook accounts.
Based on a case filed against unidentified individuals last month, cybercrime tracked down the 9-year-old by locating the IP address of the accounts. The boy is believed to be between 13 and 14 years old.
When the suspect turned out to be a minor boy, police were shocked. Upon further investigation, the child admitted that he was encouraged to create, upload and distribute the content in 56 fake accounts, which are allegedly shared by the local BJP workers. The boy was also lured by possibilities of big money on social media platforms for viewing his posts.
The child’s parents were unaware of his activities until police ended up at their home and checked his social media accounts. Taking into account the age of the child, the police handed over a notice to his parents and asked for their explanation.
It can be noted that the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat is represented by BJP State President Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is notorious for his controversial and anti-Muslim speeches. In Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls last year, Sanjay said his party would be conducting a “surgical strike” in the Old City.
