Thane, Apr 13 (UNI) A special Anti-Corruption court here on Tuesday sent former Medical officer of the Thane Municipal Corporation Dr Raju Murudkar, arrested in the bribery case, to judicial custody up to April 26.
Upon expiry of his remand, Murudkar was presented in the court of Judge S P Godhalekar by the ACB team, an ACB official release stated here.
The Judge, after hearing the submissions, sent the accused to the judicial custody.
It may be recalled that the ACB caught red-handed the doctor with a part of the bribe money of Rs 5 lakh on Thursday last (Apr 8).
He had demanded 10 per cent of the total tender value of Rs 1.50 crore, that is Rs 15 lakh, for favouring the complainant for supply of 30 ventilators to the TMC.
