Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian and is known for his lavish lifestyle. The Ambani’s are the most high profile family in India. Due to which they have the tightest Z+ category security that a civilian can get in our country. We know that he travels with his own convoy of Mercedes G63 AMG that alone costs more than Rs. 10 Crores. He also owns a Mercedes S600 Guard luxury sedan that also costs Rs. 10 Crores alone. The S600 Guard is the top-of-the-line vehicle manufactured by Mercedes-Benz.

The luxury sedan was spotted in front of Antilia which is the most expensive house in our country and belongs to the Ambanis. The S600 Guard is based on the W222 model and it replaced the W221 model that Ambani was already using earlier. The cost of the vehicle depends on the customizations that the person opted for. Still, then the vehicle would cost at least Rs. 10 Crores. Besides customizations, there are also options that the German manufacture offers themselves.

However, at first look, you would say that the S600 does not really look like anything special. Well, that is intentional. The vehicle is designed to look as normal as possible without any bling on the outside. However, on the inside, the vehicle is equipped with all the bells and whistles that you can imagine.

Mercedes-Benz has done a lot of work to make the S600 bulletproof. The base structure of the vehicle has been reinforced and there is also special underbody armour. The windows are coated with polycarbonate on the inside of splinter protection. The cavities under the bodyshell are filled with special steel while the body itself is made up of reinforced steel.

Due to all this protection equipment, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 comes with VR10 level protection. This is the first civilian vehicle to get this type of highest ballistics protection class. The vehicle can withstand steel core bullets that are fired directly and it can even withstand a 15 kg TNT blast from a distance of just 2-metres.

The S600 Guard weighs a massive 4.7 tonnes. So, it could have been difficult to propel such a heavy vehicle. Fortunately, Mercedes-Benz has put a massive 6.0-litre V12 that has been twin-turbocharged under the hood of the S600. The petrol engine puts out 523 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 830 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Because of the added weight, the manufacturer had to rework the suspension, axle and brakes of the vehicle. The top speed of the S600 Guard has been electronically restricted to 190 kmph and it can hit a ton in just 7.9 seconds.

The vehicle uses run-flat tyres so that the vehicle does not stop even if someone punctures the tyres. So, the vehicle would be able to reach a top speed of 80 kmph and can sustain that speed for the next 30 km. The individual door of the S600 Guard weighs 200 kgs. The vehicle comes with its own oxygen cylinder, self fire extinguisher system, an extra battery, a self-healing petrol tank and much more.
