CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate fewer suburban trains in Chennai on Wednesday due to Tamil New Year holiday. Trains will be operated as per Sunday schedule.
Around 700 suburban trains are operated on weekdays. But on April 14, only 449 trains will be operated on the suburban routes: Chennai Central- Arakkonam, Chennai Central-Gummidipoondi/Sullurupeta, Beach - Velachery and Beach-Chengalpet/Tirumalpur.
