Four killed as speeding car ploughs through crowd in Udaipur, LS Speaker condoles the deaths

Udaipur, Apr 12 (UNI) Four people were killed when an speeding car ploughed into a crowd in Bhinder town of Udaipur district, police said on Monday.

According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday night when the vehicle lost its control and rammed into the crowd who were gathered to watch the excavation of a tube well in a field.

The deceased were identified as Puran Ahir, who was supervising the work, labourar Bhagwati Lal and Mahindra Meena and villager Narendra Singh.

Unspecified number of persons were also injured in the incident, who were admitted to Udaipur Hospital. The vehicle has been seized and all four occupants of it were also detained.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed grief over the loss of lives and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
