#Kolkata: The ban did not deter Mamata Banerjee. Tomorrow, at 8 pm, the Chief Minister will hold two meetings after the Election Commission’s ban expires. The first meeting will be held in Barasat After that, the Chief Minister will hold a meeting in Bidhannagar

The Election Commission has banned Mamata Banerjee from 8pm on Monday, April 12, to 8pm on Tuesday for making provocative remarks. The Chief Minister will hold a dharna under the Gandhi statue in Kolkata from 12 noon tomorrow to protest the decision. The Trinamool leader will hold a rally in support of Barasat Trinamool candidate Chiranjit Chakraborty at 8.15pm after the commission’s ban expires at 8pm. He will then hold a rally in Bidhannagar at 9 pm in support of two grassroots candidates from Rajarhat-Gopalpur and Rajarhat New Town. The Trinamool candidates in those two centers are Tapas Chatterjee and Sujit Basu respectively

According to Mamata Banerjee’s pre-arranged schedule, she was scheduled to hold four public meetings on Tuesday But the Chief Minister is not canceling the meetings in Barasat and Bidhannagar even if the meetings in Krishnaganj and Kalyani are to be canceled on the instructions of the commission. At first it was known from the grassroots sources that only the meeting in Bidhannagar will be held on Tuesday Later, the party released the schedule and informed that Mamata will reach Bidhanagar after holding a meeting at Vidyasagar Stadium in Barasat. The two Trinamool Congress meetings are set to take on a new dimension after the ban was lifted.
