Two more are being held in online trading in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad internet crime police have arrested two more people in connection with the online fraud in which a victim lost 1.2 million. So far, five people have been arrested in the case.

The victim approached police on March 1 and said she had received a message from a Facebook ID ‘Sakshi Mehta’, who ‘introduced herself’ to being a stock trading consultant in New Delhi.

The victim was asked to open a Demat account for online trading and promised huge profits. In the faith, she transferred Rs 5 lakh and told her that she got Rs 88 lakh. “They convinced her to leave with the amount of about 1.2 million under the pretext of investing,” the cybercrime police said.

On April 4, police arrested three people from Indore while two more were arrested from Chattisgarh on Tuesday.
