“AWARENESS ON PROMOTION OF SCIENCE EDUCATION IN TRIBAL STUDENTS OF SENAPATI AND IMPHAL EAST DISTRICT, MANIPUR”

The closing function of “awareness On Promotion Of Science Education In Tribal Students Of Senapati And Imphal East District, Manipur” were held on 28th March, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Kiyamgei Ideal High School Auditorium, Kyamgei Mayai Leikai, Imphal East District, Manipur

which was started on 25th March, 2021 at Mount Everest Higher Secondary Auditorium, Taphou, Senapati District, Manipur organised by Unique Trust, Kyamgei Mayai Leikai under the sponsorship of NCSTC Division, Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Sirh M. Premchandra Singh (MES), ZEO(Zone-II), Imphal East District, Manipur, Chanam Bobichand Singh, District Programme Manager, SSA, Imphal East and Dr. N. Rajmuhon Singh, Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Manipur University were the Chief Gest, President and Guest of Honour of the closing function.

Shri Th. Kiranjit Meitei, President Unique Trust express his gratitude to the dignitary members, school authorities and all participants for their active participation for successful completion of the programme.

He also express the importance of STEM Education as The continual advances in technology are changing the way students learn, connect and interact every day. Skills developed by students through STEM provide them with the foundation to succeed at school and beyond.

Employer demand for STEM qualifications and skills is high, and will continue to increase in the future. Currently, 75 per cent of jobs in the fastest growing industries require workers with STEM skills, So students will learn STEM for a successful career.

During the programme Unique Trust giving awareness to the young students of Senapati and Imphal East District of Manipur about role of STEM Education for sustainable economy in our country.

As a part of the programme Unique Trust organize various activities like Mathematics puzzle, Mathematics Talent hunt, on spot painting competition, Quiz competition, essay competition & Ex- tempo speech to encourage the on learning STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) disciplines.

An exhibition and demonstration of various models of new technology on Agriculture, Cleanliness, Smart Housing, etc. were also displayed during the programme.
