In the thick of the Season of Legends in Pokémon Go, Niantic is ready to debut a new Legendary Pokémon Forme in the latest event.
This week, trainers will be able to enjoy the Rivals Week event which focuses on the natural rivalries in the Pokémon world. Whether it's the classic rivalry between Seviper and Zangoose, or counterparts like Elekid and Magby, Pokémon Go trainers will have plenty to enjoy during this latest event.
Here's everything you need to know about the Rivals Week event in Pokémon Go.

POKEMON GO RIVALS WEEK START TIME
The Pokémon Go Rivals Week event begins Tuesday, April 13 at 10 a.m. and runs to Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m. local time.
POKEMON GO RIVALS WEEK FIELD RESEARCH
During Rivals Week, trainers will be able to complete special Field Research tasks that will feature the debuts of Skrelp and Clauncher in Pokémon Go.
According to the official Pokémon Go blog, Skrelp and Clauncher will be featured in the event's Field Research. The blog also confirms that other rival Pokémon will be featured, but until the event goes live we won't know the specifics yet.
We'll update this section once the event goes live.
Along with the Field Research, there will be a Global Challenge Area that will have trainers work together to win Raid Battles and unlock two times the catch Stardust bonuses for the duration of the event.
POKEMON GO RIVALS WEEK RAID UPDATE
Raids in Pokémon Go will shift with the start of the Rivals Week event. While the highlight of the update will be Therian Forme Landorus to Level 5 Raids, the rest of the battles will be occupied by other rival Pokémon.
According to the blog, the following Pokémon will also appear in Raids during the event: Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Zangoose, Seviper and more.
IN-GAME BONUSES
During the Rivals Week event, trainers will be able to find the following Pokémon more often in the wild: Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Makuhita, Meditite, Zangoose, Seviper, and more.
Machop, Tyrogue, Elekid, Magby, Makuhita, Meditite, Zangoose, and Seviper will be hatching from 5km Eggs during the event and Team Go Rocket will be appearing more often in PokeStops. Niantic also confirms that Team Go Rocket balloons will also appear more frequently during the event.
However, Niantic acknowledged a problem associated with Team Go Rocket. They have been temporarily disabled as of this writing, but we recommend following the Niantic Support page to get updates on the issue as we get closer to the start of the event.
Trainers, while we investigate errors associated with Team GO Rocket encounters, they will be temporarily unavailable. We'll update here with more information. We apologize for any inconvenience.
