How to check online land records in Himachal Pradesh?

Following the footsteps of various states in India, Himachal Pradesh has digitised its land records and citizens can access the same using the revenue department’s online portal, ‘Himbhoomi’. The portal highlights the initiatives undertaken under ‘Digital India’ in the state and how these have transformed the lives of citizens. Using the Himbhoomi portal, citizens can check every detail about land and its ownership pattern in the state, apart from paying various taxes through it. Using the Himbhoomi app is another way to access all this information, including circle rates in various areas of the state and pay various bills.

Mentioned below are steps to check the land records on the portal.

How to check land records?

Known as jamabandi as well as fard, land records in Himachal Pradesh can be searched online using the khasra, khewat and khatauni details.

Step 1: Log on to the Himachal Pradesh revenue department website https://himachal.nic.in and click on the ‘View land Record’ tab placed at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: You will now land on the page shown below. Select district, tehsil, village and jamabandi year and type captcha code to proceed. Also note that if you have already given an application to get land records, you could simply enter the application number and get the details.

Step 3: The page that now appears would seek further details. You have to pick among khewat (owner details), khatauni (cultivators’ details) and khasra (plot details) to get the details.

Note here that khasra or khesra refers to the account details of the plot and khatauni provides information about the land-holding pattern within a family. In other words, while a particular piece of land is known through its khasra number, the details of all the khasras of a particular person or family is known as khatauni.

Step 4: The new page will present a copy of the jamabandi.

To get these land records on your mobile phone, go to Google Playstore and download the ‘mHimBhoomi’ app to get Himachal Pradesh land records on your mobile.

Check circle rate in your village

Step 1: Log on to the Himachal Pradesh revenue department website https://himachal.nic.in and click on the ‘View Circle Rates Of Your Village And Calculate Duties For Land Transactions’ tab.

Step 2: Fill in the details including district, tehsil, village, patwari circle, area type etc. on the page that appears next and press ‘Proceed’.

Step 3: The next page will show the details you seek.

Get circle rate on mobile phone

Go to Google Playstore and download the app ‘HP Circle Rates’ to get Himachal Pradesh circle rate on your mobile phone.

Check government land bank

Step 1: Log on to the Himachal Pradesh revenue department website https://himachal.nic.in and click on the ‘View Govt Land Bank’ tab.

Step 2: On the next page, fill details like district, tehsil, type of land and owner to get details.

Step 3: The next page will show the details you seek.
