Dumdum, Apr 12 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the Election Commission has become biased as it is only listening to Bharatiya Janata Party.
Addressing a public meeting here, Ms Banerjee said, “I request Election Commission with folded hands - don't listen only to BJP, listen to all. Don't be partial.”
“I am really sad and ashamed, I haven't seen this kind of Prime Minister who crosses the line while speaking,” the TMC chief alleged.
“I have worked for all religions. What have I not done? Now only one thing is left, 'BJP hatao desh bachao'. Left and Congress are BJP agents,” she said.
“Modi, you went to Trump to play the trump card and now to Bangladesh to play Bengal card,” Ms Banerjee alleged.
“You went to Bangladesh for votes and now there is violence. Why is EC not taking suo moto cognizance?,” the chief minister questioned.
“They're selling Railways, BSNL, banks. Some are saying that more people will be shot at. It doesn't look good in politics, learn to control your tongue,” Ms Banerjee said.
“I'm ashamed that they live in Bengal. These kinds of leaders need to be put in jail and removed from politics,” the TMC supremo remarked.
The chief minister said those threatening more Cooch Behar-like killings should be banned politically.
"Some political leaders are threatening of more Sitalkuchi-like incidents, while others are saying that the death toll should have been higher. I am stunned and shocked to see such reactions. What are these leaders up to? They should be politically banned," she added.
