IPL 2021: RR’s Riyan Parag emulates Kedar Jadhav’s bowling action to dismiss Chris Gayle, leaves Twitterati in splits- Rajasthan Royals part-time bowler Riyan Parag surprised everyone with his unique action in RR’s opening match against Punjab Kings. Luckily the delivery also helped him get the crucial wicket of Chris Gayle for 40 who was looking dangerous for a big one. He celebrated the wicket with his traditional Assamese dance steps ‘Bihu’. Earlier, SRH’s Kedar Jadhav has also bowled such deliveries. “That is right-arm perpendicular. What name can you think of for this unique action?” IPL questioned Twitterati on his bowling action.

When it comes to the match, Sanju Samson’s fighting hundred went in vain as Arshdeep Singh held his nerves in the final over to help Punjab Kings register a thrilling win over Rajasthan Royals here at Wankhede on Monday.

KL Rahul’s calm and composed knock, aided by Deepak Hooda’s belligerent hitting, helped Punjab Kings post 221/5 in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Rajasthan Royals fell just five runs short of the target to clinch the game.
