AMBALA: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) workers on Monday protested and carried out a march in Ambala against inflation, increasing prices of commodities, demanding repealing of three agriculture laws of the Centre government and smooth procurement of wheat.
The INLD workers held the protest under the leadership of their young leader Arjun Singh Chautala, national president party's student wing Indian National Student Organisation (INSO).
While carrying out the protest march, the INLD workers reached the mini-secretariat and handed over a memorandum of demand to Haryana governor through Ambala deputy commissioner (DC).
In his address, Arjun Chautala said, “The government to provide benefits only and only to the capitalists and it is making policies to ruin the farmers. By increasing the prices of diesel, petrol, and all other commodities, the government has proved that it is busy in providing benefits to the capitalists.”
Talking about the letter written by Haryana home and health minister Anil Vij to Union minister of agriculture and farmers’ welfare Narendra Singh Tomar, expressing concern about the farmers’ health and asking him to resume talks, Arjun said, “Anil Vij is befooling the naïve public. If the laws were to be repealed by writing such letters, we would have written a lot of them. He is also the part of the same government which has brought these black laws. His government also cane-charged the farmers in Pipli and other places in Haryana and the home ministry is under his profile."
On Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), Arjun lashed out at his cousin brother deputy chief minister of Haryana Dushyant Singh Chautala and said, “Today, they are not able to face the public in the state and the coalition government has entirely failed. The people are not letting them enter the villages. In the coming time, they will have to face more fierce opposition from the people. They have spoiled the name of jannayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Ji and betrayed the people of Haryana. They should leave the government and come in support of the people.”
“Today, Haryana is at top in terms of employment and 28% youths of Haryana are unemployed”, said Arjun.
