Actor Sonu Sood has extends his supports for the student who will be appearing in the CBSE board exams this year. Sood has shared a video on his Twitter handle in which he has raised concern for the students and called the offline CBSE exams unfair.
Through the video message, Sood requested everyone to support students who are forced to appear for offline board exams at a time when the country facing a huge rise in covid-19 cases in the country. He said there should be an internal assessment to promote the students rather than risking their life. The actor used the trending hashtag #cancelboardexam2021.
Sood on April 7 has started a campaign called Sanjeevani A Shot of Life, an initiative to spread awareness about the Covid-19 vaccine. The actor also received the first dose of the vaccine on April 7 as part of the same. Sharing the news on Twitter, Sood said he got vaccinated and it’s time to get the whole country should be vaccinated. He also urged the Ministry of Health to announce Covid-19 vaccinations for all those who are aged 25 years and above.
Sood on April 7 flagged off Sanjeevani Gaadi from the Attari border. The sim of the vehicle is to travel across the country including the locations like Nashik, Guntur, Indore and Dakshina Kannada to spread awareness about coronavirus vaccines and bust wrong information about it.
Earlier, Sood helped lakhs of desperate migrants labours who started walking home in April and May 2020, when the central government put the country into lockdown due to a novel coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
Sood launched the Ghar Bhejo campaign with his childhood friend Neeti Goel and reportedly arranged transport for 7.5 lakh migrant workers. He equipped frontline workers with masks and face shields, airlifted students stranded abroad and helped farmers in distress. Sood has also launched Pravasi Rojgar, an application to help skilled and unskilled workers find jobs.
