The reason why the BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have chosen CDs over records is because most K-pop groups sell their physical music in CD packages which comes with goodies for their fans. This creates a lot of interest among their fans who go on to buy their CD packages which include their photo cards and posters. "Most of these companies know that CD listening is on decline, but that’s why they included photo cards and posters and all of these things. It gets fans interested enough and they buy, most of their incomes comes from the physical sales of albums. Albums are also cheaper to make and produce faster as well,” a Quora user noticed this strange thing about the BTS group. However, there are also a certain sections of their fans who wish the BTS to release their songs on vinyl as they become trendier in the US. This year, the BTS band earned their first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, but they lost out to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. The septet performed Dynamite in a pre-recorded video, taking their dynamic gig from the Grammys stage to a rooftop overseeing a breathtaking night view of the South Korean Capital city.
This is the third consecutive year that BTS has participated at the Grammy Awards. In 2019, they first appeared as presenters for Best R&B Album, and last year the band took the stage for Old Town Road alongside Lil Nas X and other performers.
