HYDERABAD: An electrician stabbed his wife and mother-in-law to death at their house in IDA Bollaram in Sanga Reddy district during the early hours of Sunday.
After committing the murder, the accused surrendered before the police. According to police, suspicion over wife's fidelity led the accused to commit the murders.
The accused is Nune Narasimha, 40, son of Yellaiah, from Annaram village in Sanga Reddy district. Narasimha is working as a private electrician at Jinnaram municipal office. and seven years ago he was married to Swaroopa, 32, a domestic help from Gandhi Nagar in IDA Bollaram and they have two children.
"A few years after the marriage, Swaroopa refused to stay at her in-law's place in Annaram and moved to her mother's house in IDA Bollarum. Despite Narasimha's repeated requests, she did not budge," Patancheru DSP Bheem Reddy said.
During the early hours of Sunday, Narasimha went to meet Swaroopa and picked up an argument with her. In a fit of rage, he picked up a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Sawroopa multiple times. When Yellamma tried to intervene and rescue her daughter, Narasimha stabbed her too. They died on the spot with excessive bleeding, IDA Bollaram inspector G Prashant said.
After committing the murder, Narasimha went to IDA Bollaram police station with the murder weapon and surrendered before the police. 'We rushed to the house of the victims and found them lying dead on the floor of the house in a pool of blood. We shifted the bodies for postmortem. Narasimha confessed that he committed the murder suspecting his wife's fidelity and Yellamma was killed by him in a fit of rage, the inspector said.
A murder case was registered under section 302 of the IPC and the accused will be produced before the court for judicial remand on Monday.
