Nikesha Patel aims for a return

Southern star Nikesha Patel moved to London just before closing to explore the British film and TV industry and signed with an agency called Gilbert & Payne. However, the actor says that she is already missing India and waiting to come back. ‘I moved to London in March 2020 and the exclusion was announced – it was pure accident. Contrary to what most people thought, I did not stop watching Indian movies. I’m just waiting to take the second dose Covid-19 vaccine and will travel to India soon, ”she says.

Although not as she first imagined it, Nikesha says that 2020 was fantastic for her when she opened three businesses in the UK. ‘It was a good phase for me; I started an import and export business and even invested in real estate. I think it had to be everything. If you can, try to investigate things and be proactive. Get up and do things, because it is not impossible to do creative things in the end, ”says the actor.

Since gyms have not yet opened in London, Nikesha says she has put on a lot of weight! ‘Chocolate is my absolute favorite, so it’s likely to happen. My diet has taken a toll in the UK, ”adds Nikesha, who celebrated Easter with her parents. ‘We sent hampers full of Easter eggs and chocolates here to our loved ones. The festival reminds me of my fond childhood memories when my mother would give me Easter eggs. It has been ten years since she stopped giving it to me to keep track of my weight, ”the Puli star adds.

The 30-year-old says she has also used the dating scene in the UK for the past year. ‘I had to get married when I was 24. I feel like I have passed the age of marriage. I tried to go out but failed. It seems like I do not make contact with men here, ”she says laughing.

Nikesha, who is a trained Kathak dancer, says she would like to play the role of another person on screen. “My career has become a mess. I want to take on challenging roles, but I am not approached for roles other than those where I have to flirt or wear short skirts. I also wanted to work in Bollywood, but I never got a good project. After doing 30 films in the south, I do not want to compromise on a film that I am not happy with, ‘concludes Nikesha, who says she has two heroine-oriented Telugu films in her cat, besides a web series .
