Earlier, the ongoing mind games between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss finally culminated when The Viper met The Fiend on The Grandest Stage of Them All. WrestleMania delivered for me. Day 1 was better than Day 2. However, the second got better as it went on, a great triple threat main event. Thoroughly enjoyed Wrestlemania despite the build. Thank you for joining us the last 2 days and the last year during this pandemic.
Roman Reigns wins with one of his most impressive Wrestlemania matches. That was a really good way to give a win to the logically correct guy, especially when the said guy is a non-heel the fans despise. Make him bendable but still better than the two others.
Con Chair to shots by Edge to Bryan but as he turns his attention to Reigns, Jey Uso is back in the ring and distraction causes the tide to turn. Reigns with a spear to the Rated-R-Superstar.
Crossface-Yes Lock combo on Roman Reigns! Edge puts Reigns in a crossfade submission. Bryan blocks Reigns from tapping and puts Reigns in a submission of his own. Then Edge and Bryan try to headbutt each other while still holding on.
Love the reaction Reigns is giving the crowd as they chant 'Roman Sucks' it drives the story being told. Not the biggest fan of Main Event Triple Threat Matches (Singles Matches just makes for a bigger feel), but these guys are killing it.
It is Edge's 2nd WrestleMania main event & 1st since WrestleMania 24 for Daniel Bryan it is the 2nd WrestleMania main event & 1st since WrestleMania 30.
So it is time for the time event. Apart from Sami/Zayn and Riddle/Sheamus, Night 2 has been severely underwhelming and rushed. Almost every title has changed hands on night 2. Will it change hands in the main event? stay tuned...
RHEA HITS THE RIPTIDE AND IS THE NEW RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION!!! What a fight and a new women’s champion! Yet another good call on the winner. The finish came a little quick but decent sequence. The crowd makes such a huge difference in the energy of wrestling. The wrestlers definitely are feeling the vibe vs. pumped in crowd noises.
The next contest is for the Raw women's championship.
Thanks to Dabba Kato, Apollo Crews gets the victory and is the New Intercontinental Champion. WWE is reportedly giving a former Raw Underground star a repackaging in Dabba Kato. It’s also funny that both Omos and Babatunde were prominently involved in Raw Underground and now WWE just acts like it didn’t happen. And in case you were wondering: According to dirt sheets, his new name is now Commander Azeez. Dabba-Kato is Half-Nigerian !!
