Thane, Apr 11 (UNI) The Thane district rural police saved the life of 25 year old housewife from Bhiwandi who was taken for dead by her husband and dumped on the Mumbai-Nashik highway the police said on Saturday.
It was on the night of Thursday at around 8.45 p.m. the police at the Wadpe police chowki got a message from the passers by on the highway that a woman was lying with her throat slit on the Dhapsipada of Dhamangaon.
The police of the Bhiwandi taluka rushed to the scene and found the woman profusely bleeding with her throat slit and struggling for life.
The police immediately rushed her to first the MGM hospital at Bhiwandi and then to the CSMG Hospital at Kalwa and saved her life.
The police thus saved the life of the women in the golden hour the police said.
The further probe into the case revealed that the victim Ruksana Pathan, was staying with her husband in Bhiwandi and due to a dispute with her husband she lived with her parents and her child.
IT was on the fateful night at around 8.00 p.m. she left the house with her husband and never returned.
The police have based on the complaint by her parents registered an offence under section 307 rw 34 of the IPC against her husband, Mohammad Shakir Nannhe Pathan and her cousin Sonu Khan @ Izamuddin MIrzuddin Pathan the police said.
The police said that with an intention to kill her the duo slit her throat with sharp weapon and dumped her on the highway in the pitched darkness.
No no arrest is made in this connection so far the police added.
