In view of the ever-increasing number of corona infections in the second wave, several cities including Indore, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh have been put on lockdown till April 19. In some cities, the lockdown was in force from Friday night to Monday morning. It has now been extended to 19 April.

This decision was taken in a review meeting held through video conferencing with the District Disaster Management Committees on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. The decision was taken to prevent the epidemic after detailed discussions with the District Disaster Management Committees.

In this regard, the District Collector / Magistrate will issue orders under section 144 as per the consent of the District Disaster Management Committees.

Indore City, Rau Nagar, Mhow Nagar, Shajapur City, and Ujjain City (and all the cities of Ujjain district) till 6 am on April 19.

Barwani, Rajgarh, Vidisha districts (in urban and rural areas) till 6 am on April 19

Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni districts (urban and rural areas), and Jabalpur city from the night of April 12 to the morning of April 22
