Koppula Eashwar promises 5 pieces of reservation for otherwise-capable people

Peddpalli: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar has promised to give five per cent reservations to people with different skills in all government schemes. He distributed two-wheelers and batteries with 244 physically disabled people, apart from instruments worth R 1.52 million, was distributed to disabled people on Saturday during a program held in the agricultural market here.

The minister said at the event that the state government is committed to the well-being of disabled people and the implementation of various welfare schemes. He pointed out that in united Andhra Pradesh, people with different skills received only Rs 500 pension. ‘However, the amount was increased to R 3,016 after the establishment of the state of Telangana. “A total of five lakh people get the benefit,” he said.

Eeshwar said the Telangana government supplies modern equipment. Plans have also been prepared to distribute, among other things, scooters, laptops to students, 4G smartphones, battery wheelchairs, artificial limbs and calibers to help people with different skills.

Zilla Parishad President Putta Madhukar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy and others participated in the program.
