On the heels of Kumar Rocker's worst collegiate start on Thursday, the onus fell on Jack Leiter to right the Vanderbilt Commodores' ship on Friday night.

Following Vanderbilt's 14-2 loss to Georgia, the team's biggest loss of the season, Leiter was once again electric this season. The sophomore threw seven innings of three-hit baseball while allowing one run and striking out 13 in a 5-2 Commodores win.

Leiter earned the no decision as Vanderbilt's offense came through late in the game, scoring four runs in the bottom of the eighth, but his record remains an unblemished 7-0 this year. He has struck out 97 batters over 56 innings, including 51 K's in his past four starts, this season and his ERA sits at 0.64.

If Leiter has any competition for the best pitcher in college baseball -- and potentially for the top pick in the draft -- it comes from his own clubhouse and Rocker.

Rocker, the 2019 College World Series Most Outstanding Player, currently checks in at No. 3 in Kiley McDaniel's draft rankings, one spot behind Leiter.
