The Mumbai municipal corporation on Friday said that it will resume vaccinations in public hospitals and vaccination centers on Saturday and Sunday as it has received new supplies.
However, no vaccinations will take place in private vaccination centers until further notice due to a shortage of doses. Since the vaccination began in January, the city has been administering doses on an average of 50,000 a day. The vaccination will run on Saturday from 12 pm-6 pm and on Sunday from 9 am-5 pm.
After this weekend, depending on the availability of vaccines, the BMC will decide whether or not to continue with the vaccination.
