Twinkle Khanna posted a black and white throwback photo from her adolescence on Friday. Her mother, actress Dimple Kapadia, and sister Rinke Khanna also appeared.
Sharing it, Twinkle wrote: “A penchant for cracking up prevents you from breaking down. #FamilyMotto #crackpots.” It showed the three of them posing for a family photo and laughing.
It elicited reactions from a couple of her industry colleagues as well. Sussanne Khan showered the post with red heart emojis, and producer Deepshikha Deshmukh described it as “priceless.” “What a shot!” wrote Anaita Shroff Adajania.
Twinkle’s posts often feature her girlfriend, Dimple. She had re-posted a photo by The Faraway Tree, a business venture launched by Dimple, a few days ago. It showed the mother and daughter couple seated at a table, with Twinkle putting on perfume.
Twinkle made a joke about her mother’s culinary talents last November and wrote: “Mom’s performances are all fantastic. And though she pretends to be a chef. Mom is finally frying.”
Twinkle made her film debut in 1995 with Barsaat. She went on to appear in a number of films, but with little luck. She rose to prominence as a writer. Twinkle is the author of three books: Mrs Funnybones, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, and Pyjamas Are Forgiving. She frequently contributes to newspapers with her columns.
