GHMC office to allow vaccinated only

Hyderabad: In view of the rising COVID affairs in the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Kukatpally Zonal office on Friday banned the access of visitors and media persons in the GHMC offices.

Those who COVID-19 vaccine and those who have recovered COVID-19 and who hold custody certificates will be allowed inside the office from 10 April.

According to the instructions of Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, all the workers and officials of the GHMC should be vaccinated against COVID-19.

GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar on Friday issued orders receiving all staff and officials COVID-19 vaccination before April 15.

During a video call, Commissioner passed on the orders to all zonal commissioners and asked them to organize for the vaccination in GHMC offices, hospitals or urban health centers.

Details of those vaccinated should be sent to headquarters and kept informed COVID-19 portal, he said.

The GHMC has nearly 30,000 front-line personnel, and all must be vaccinated by April 15, the commissioner said.
