The tiff between Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu is known to all. It all started when Kangana had referred to Taapsee as a sasti copy (cheap copy) of herself. The two had been involved in ugly exchange of words on Twitter for a while now. And it seems like Taapsee and Kangana have finally decided to bury the hatchet. But fans are still confused. It so happened that Taapsee was recently honoured with the Best Actress award for her performance in Anubhav Sinha's Thappad at an award function. In her acceptance speech, Taapsee thanked Kangana for pushing the boundaries and setting new benchmarks with her performances. "Thank you so much Kangana for pushing the boundaries. The benchmark of your performances just keeps going higher every year," Taapsee said. A Kangana fan came across this video of Taapsee's and shared it with the Thalaivi actress on Twitter saying that deep down Taapsee is a Kangana fan. To which, Kangana replied by thanking Taapsee for her kind words and lauded her for bagging the Best Actress award. "Thank you @taapsee well deserved Vimal elaichi filmfare award.... no one deserves it more than you," she said.
However, Kangana's reply left her fans confused if she was taking a sarcastic dig at Taapsee or really appreciating her for her achievements. Some people also felt that other people are blowing Kangana's words out of proportion. But it remains to be seen if Kangana and Taapsee have really decided to end the bad blood between them by calling a truce. Take a look.
On the work front, Taapsee is currently busy shooting for Shabaash Mithu, based on the life of Indian women's ODI cricket team captain Mithali Dorai Raj. She also has Looop Lapeta, Haseen Dilruba and Rashmi Rocket coming up.
Kangana, on the other hand, has Thalaivi wherein she will be playing the late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa in the biopic. The release date has been postponed owing to the lockdown in Maharashtra. She also has Tejas which sees her as an Air Force officer, Dhaakad which is again an actioner and and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda. She also has another film in the pipeline where she will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
