The Koyambedu police have arrested six people, including the main accused and two minors, in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old man in Nerkundram on Wednesday night.

The police said that the main accused S Dhananchezhiyan (37) of Nerkundram was at loggerheads with the deceased B Narayanan. So, he hatched a plan to kill him fearing that Narayanan might murder him instead.
Along with Dhananchezhiyan, C Selva (21), E Prasanth (21) of Maduravoyal, R Abinesh (19) and two juveniles were also arrested. Among the arrested, Dhananchezhiyan and Selva already have a few cases pending against them.
Investigation revealed that after the murder, the accused robbed places in Tiruverkadu, Kundrathur, Ambattur, Ambattur Estate and Nazarethpet.
Of the six, four have been remanded in judicial custody and the juveniles were sent to an observation home.
