Nalgonda: Gutha Sukhender Reddy, chairwoman of the Telangana State Legislative Council, claimed on Saturday that the swing of a new political party was a conspiracy to loot the funds, water and natural resources of the Telangana state. He reacted indirectly to the announcement of the former prime minister, the late YS Rajashekhar Reddy’s daughter YS Sharmila, to run a new political party in the state.
Sukhender Reddy said at a press conference here on Saturday, saying that the resources of Telangana under the leadership of the Andhra rulers of the former Andhra Pradesh were looted, at the expense of the interests of Telangana people. After the formation of a separate state, he pointed out that Telangana has seen rapid development in all areas over the past seven years. The state government gave the agricultural sector the highest priority and took measures to give earlier honor to the farmers.
‘The state government spends 17 000 million for Rythu Bandhu scheme and annually contributes an amount of R10 000 for free power to the agricultural sector. It was also to buy the paddy from the farmers through paddy procurement center to the last grain. The agricultural policy of Telangana is an example for the whole country, ”he added.
The Telangana state recorded a positive GDP when the country recorded a negative GDP COVID-19 pandemic, he pointed out.
In response to the comments made by Sharmila at Khammam, he made it clear that no Gadis (properties of landlords in the upper castes) existed as it disappeared to the Telangana Armed Struggle. ‘In fact, this Gadis now exists in Pulivendula. “Telangana state is under cent percent under democratic rule,” he claimed. He said people were well aware that under whose rule in the former Andhra Pradesh, the progress towards mobilization to the contractors had been extended, irrigation tanks in Hyderabad had been overshadowed and communal riots had been encouraged. He questioned the fact that Krishna water was diverted by taking the construction of the Pothireddypadu main regulator at the expense of the interests of Telangana.
He expressed confidence that the people would give an appropriate response to the conspiracies of some powers to destabilize the Telangana government. Some people tried to create divide between the people in the name of castes and religion for political mileage. The residents of Telangana are responsible for ensuring that there is no room for such forces in the state, he added.
Responding to the comments of MP Revanth Reddy, he said that Revanth Reddy is an extortionist who has been caught red-handed with the Vam-for-Cash scam and has no moral right to criticize him.
