PATNA: The Bihar government on Friday issued fresh guidelines putting certain curbs on opening of shops and religious places in the wake of alarming increase in the number of Covid-19 positive cases in the state in the recent days.
According to a fresh notification issued by the
home department, there would be a complete ban on organising government or private functions at any public place across the state till April 30.
Moreover, all religious places including temples and mosques will remain closed for entry of common people till April 30. All shops and other business establishments have been asked to close by 7pm till April 30.
However, hotels, dhaba and restaurants can remain open beyond 7pm but they will have to follow Covid-19 guidelines regarding wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Principal Secretary (disaster management) Pratyay Amrit said, as per the new guidelines the hotel, dhaba and restaurants would allow entry of people only upto 50% of their seating capacity.
