Q1: What inspired you to become an architect?
Seeing the works of historical architecture of Iran made me very interested in architecture.
Q2: Who is your role model in the world of architecture? And, why?
Ludwing Mies van der Ruhe is my role model because of the minimalism and simplicity of his work. I like this sentence of his very much, less is more.

Q3: Which was the most challenging project for you?
Every project, small or large, has its challenges, and these challenges are an opportunity to better design and achieve better results.
Q4: Among your projects, if you had to choose, which are the 3 favourite projects of your choice?
Architecture has no end. We are learning every day and we learn from each project to do better in the next project than the previous project!
We only compete with ourselves and try to design each project better than our previous project. And our clients understand this and their satisfaction has made us grow and will continue to grow.
So if you ask me this question 10 years later, I will still answer that our next project is our best project.

Q5: Please tell us about your recent project ‘Lift House’ in Vancouver, what were the main challenges you faced with this project? And what was the core idea that you wanted to achieve out of this project?
That project is just a concept.
This creates advantages for the project: no need for stairs and elevators, the ability to adjust the height of the house from the ground and the surrounding view, providing high security for residents because when the cabin is at a high height no one except the residents of the house is able to access to the inside of the house.
Q6: Can you describe the initial stages and design processes when you first embark upon a project? And what’s your favourite stage of the project?
The steps to reach each project are different and specific to the same project and not the same in all projects! All the stages of designing and completing it are enjoyable because each project is completed in its own process and in each of its stages.

Q7: How does technology help you to achieve your best designs? And do you have your favourite software?
Technology helps in various ways. In first allowing one to visualize, then a visual walkthrough for understanding, then for studying heat gain and lighting and finally for creating the drawings required for construction. Currently, the favourite is VR, a virtual reality software that allows one to move within the building prior to constructing it in reality.
Q8: What are the upcoming projects that you are working on?
As you might know, we have an international architecture studio and working on international projects! We are currently working on many projects such as villas, residential complexes, commercial complexes.
Q9: Which country’s architecture inspires you the most? And why?
Italy, New York as well as Iran inspires me the most because of their unique historical monuments.
