Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting of all major political parties today to discuss a complete lockdown or adding of stringent curbs to control the pandemic. Senior officials said the state is considering a complete lockdown for a week as there are two government holidays next week. No movement will be allowed on streets, except for essential service staff and others on the list of exemptions, on the first weekend lockdown that started Friday 6pm and will last till Monday 7am as part of the state’s ‘break the chain’ order.
