AgenciesNEW DELHI: Nifty IT index was trading on a positive note at 02:22PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Coforge (up 2.96 per cent), Mphasis (up 2.93 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 1.92 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.9 per cent) and Wipro (up 1.84 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.1 per cent up at 27446.9 around 02:22PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down -37.30 points at 14836.5, while the BSE Sensex was down -119.59 points at 49626.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of PNB, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, IDFC First Bank and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JSW Energy, Cadila Healthcare, Sterling Wilson Solar, Prince Pipes and Cipla hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while SecUR Credentials Ltd., Global Education Ltd., Marine Electricals (India) Ltd. and Radha Madhav Corporation Ltd. hit fresh 52-week low in trade.
